The Challenge:
The 3-story storage building in Altamonte Springs, Florida, had 336 window lites. Behind the window glass was a combination of damaged painted plywood and damaged paint, creating an unattractive exterior appearance. Replacing all the windows with new glass was a costly option for the building owners. Building management sought a commercial window tint company with experience in exterior window tinting and that could provide an effective exterior window film option and complete the entire project in a timely manner while following proper safety guidelines.
The Solution:
TintXperts provided a cost-effective and aesthetic solution by installing Exterior Neutral 40 solar film (XPEL). This exterior window film provides a neutral exterior appearance that hides the blemishes behind the original glass. TintXperts wet glazed the edges with DOW 795 in order to weatherpoof the film and maximize its life expectancy. This renewed the exterior finish of the glass, giving the building a fresh and clean look. TintXperts was able to complete this exterior window tint project within 2 weeks. Part of our safety plan was the use of plywood in order to protect sidewalks and green areas from the use of a heavy boom lift. In the end, building owners were pleased with their new building facelift and renewed facade.
